When India is going through highest level of unemployment rate. Thousands of students who are passing out of college are struggling to find the suitable jobs in the market. In the midst of this crisis Google today announced a new program that will make it easy for people in India to find entry-level jobs.
Google Jobs will be available as Kormo in Google Play to help people easily find. Google will use machine learning to recommend jobs and training content. People can take advantage of the training content to prepare for interviews. Google Jobs will also help them in applying, scheduling interviews and engaging directly with potential employers.
Kormo is being developed inside of Google’s Area 120 program, an incubator for new innovative ideas inside of the company.
Google’s Kormo will have to compete with established players such as Quess Corp and Tech Mahindra’s Saral Rozgar. In the recent past, classified-ad companies like Quikr and OLX also entered India’s entry level job search market by acquiring job listing sites like Babajob and Aasaanjobs, respectively.
