Unified office app is coming soon to iphone

While Microsoft Office apps are useful to have installed on your iPhone to quickly edit a document on-the-go; chances are, you’re not going to use all of the apps very frequently.  After a while, many find having to have an entire folder dedicated to just Office apps to be almost burdensome- so they just delete all of them together.

Microsoft is contemplating bringing the three-in-one Office Mobile app -that’s already made it’s way to some Android devices- to iOS.  The app would include the top 3 Office apps- Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and will offer all standard features.  For more advanced features, users will have to download the full app separately- but the basic features should suffice for use on an iPhone.

Currently, Office Mobile apps on the Microsoft Store are set to maintenance mode- meaning Microsoft is busy working on the Win32 apps.  There’s no further information just yet, but more is expected to be revealed at Ignite next month.
