It’s official: Bing is now Microsoft Bing

In August, we reported that Microsoft may rebrand its Bing search engine by adding the Microsoft name and logo to the service. After testing the new branding for the past few months, Microsoft today officially announced that Bing is rebranded as Microsoft Bing. Microsoft is making this change to reflect the continued integration of its search experiences across the Microsoft family.

For example, did you know that Bing powers InPrivate search with Microsoft Edge, quick searches in the Windows taskbarwork search scenarios with Microsoft 365, immersive gaming in Microsoft Flight Simulator, and much more.

Also, the following will be the new Microsoft Bing logo.

Microsoft Bing’s revenue growth, which has already been slowing, has run into a brick wall due to the COVID-19 crisis. Search advertising revenue excluding traffic acquisition costs decreased by 18% (down 17% in constant currency)  or $353 million, meaning the Microsoft Bing Revenue was around $1,608 million, around the same size as the Surface division.
